Chanel & Anson’s Wedding

Very happy to be their photographer again after taking pre-wedding photos few months ago.  There were 9 bridesmaids & 9 groom-mates  altogether and they are all very cooperative and cheerful….posing them for shooting was fun indeed.  The room was big consider that we have gathered the bridesmaids  and groom-mates together with their relatives and my crew of 5 persons.  Since the schedule was tight, we only could spare time to take some portraits at the hotel.

Janice & Lit Wedding 歡喜冤家3

This wedding is quite special for me and my wife Alice as you would know that the bride Janice is one of Alice’s best friends if you have read my previous posts for their Pre-wedding http://www.chanhorace.com/?p=989 & http://www.chanhorace.com/?p=1026 .

It was pouring rain in the morning but went sunny during the afternoon and we did spend some time on the location shooting too at the Star ferry station.  The tea ceremony for both parents took place in the same hotel as well as the registration ceremony therefore my crew didn’t get wet at all.

We all had a great night and we feel so happy for this new couple and wish them happy forever.

Janice & her sister

Stephy congratulate this new couple too.

Anniversary of Rosetta & Ronald…..with their Son

It is very sweet to have an anniversary photos taken along with their own son…..not a baby…..not a child….a teeth-age boy about the same height as his dad.  No one would believe a lady like her has a son so grown up….just like a sister with a little brother.  So happy to spend a day with them and we’ve traveled to Shek O for the very first location and then we went to inspiration lake after dropping off two lovely poodles to home.   It was a cool weather that day and it was windy too at Shek O, her son kept passing her the fur to keep her warm after each photo shots.   Let’s see some of the photos taken that day:

His (poodle) name is “Toast”

Polly & Jerry’s Wedding

This wedding is quite special to me as it was a special referral….not referred from the bride, groom, bridesmaids or groomsmen.  It was recommended by one of the top makeup artist “Shirley Foo” from Andersen Makeup Workshop.  My wife introduced Shirley Foo to me some time ago and I’ve a chance to be her family’s photographer at the studio once.  I’m so grateful to her for the trust as she has been working with a lot of famous wedding photographers in HK.  I’m also very impressed with her work especially to the hair styles she specially designed for her best friend Polly.  It was very fun to work with Polly & Jerry and their bridesmaids & groomsmen.  It was great weather and we spent sometime at 1881 at the breaks between the ceremony & the banquet section.  By the way the food was really good….hehe thx Polly & Jerry.  Happy Marriage!!!

What a great weather on their wedding day

Very beautiful bride

Angie & Ben Wedding

Usually I would meet up both the bride & the groom on the interview but this time I never met the bride before the wedding, the groom was arranging all activities regarding to photography service.  Since the tightness of the schedule we couldn’t squeeze the time for any outdoor location photo section except in the hotel.  Surprisingly I’ve found quite a bit of spots within the hotel (Hyatt Regency at K11) for their shootings and I was enjoying it very much.

This was taken near the parking space

Vivian & Martin Wedding

Vivian & Martin are my work ex-colleagues, since we have been working for toy industry, we do have many mutual friends.  It was fun to meet lots of friends that have not been met for a long time.  It actual brings out lots of memories!  The couple has decided to have their location photography at the Wetland park where is quite near the groom’s parent’s apartment in 天水圍.  It is the first time I’ve been to Wetland Park a very beautiful place and there was a bit of sunshine too.  But besides wetland there are plenty of blood sucking mosquitoes and the anti sprays didn’t not work on them…….poor me….and the couple too….but I think worth it after seeing the photos.

The main color of the flat is Yellow

haha my idea to have this posture…kaka

歡喜冤家2@迪欣湖 Janice & Lit

If you could recall that I have already taken the prewedding photos for Janice & Lit but unfortunately we had some delay due to unexpected incidents (please read my previous post).  We have offered to take some more photos at the inspiration park and final destination at the airport to catch the sunset.  Again Tony was helping for the video…..

It was a sunny day too with some mists but it is good for capturing a beautiful sunset.  This time we started off at my TST office around 10:00am and Alice was the makeup artist too.

This is the first time I take shots at airport and catching the sunset….amazing view indeed…..Hong Kong is so beautiful……

Final Location: Airport

This is the photo I like the most….very beautiful sky:

The sunset lasted only for 10 mins and we saw a couple arrived right after the sunset….what a pity to them…..lucky for us…..hehe

歡喜冤家@流水響 Janice & Lit

Janice & Lit…….so happy to be their prewedding photographer, Janice is one of my wife Alice’s best friends and they’ve known each other since Form 4 in the secondary school.  Every gatherings we had we bound to hear a bunch of funny stories between Janice & Lit mainly about their love stories such as arguing, the wrong presents on Valentine’s day or birthday.  Very funny indeed!

Back to this prewedding day, Alice was the makeup artist and Tony Tsui was volunteered to be their videographer (special thanks to Tony).  It was a hot day and we had faced a few obstacles and issues that day…..let’s hear our story……

The first location is 流水響 in Tai Po, the makeup took place at Janice home in Sheung Shui.  When I tried to pickup my own car I found that there was no battery left as we might have left the overhead lamp on when we parked the car on the other night.  Finally we’ve managed to get my car jump started but it has already took us an hour and by the time we arrived Sheung Shui was 12:00 noon.  Last but not least, I’ve found that something wrong with Lit’s shoes…..OMG the color wasn’t right at all…..they were light brown….haha….it is not going to be nice I said and then Lit immediately insist to buy a new “BLACK” shoes therefore once makeup was done we drove to the town centre and Lit managed to get a pretty BLACK shoes…..guess how much?   hehe it was HK$199 and Lit told me that when he paid the shoes he found another shoe which is even cheaper HK$99 only…..kakaka…

It is kind of late, around 2:00pm now therefore we have rushing to 流水響…..15 mins walk to the location away from the parking location but we all reckon that it was well worth it, such a beautiful place.

Janice & Lit very funny as they were kept 灑花鎗….and we laughed at all time…..what a fun experience……

Second location: 高街

Ding Dong 叮噹 – Carmen & Lok

Haha…. you must be wondered why I chose this title….  The groom loves “Ding Dong 叮噹” a fan of 叮噹.  I’ve found that when I was being his passenger at his car while driving me from his home to where I parked my car, we’ve spent the day for their prewedding at Tai O.   He played several old songs (80 s) while he was driving and one of them was 叮噹…..hehe……he told me that he has a friend who knows the professional dubbing artist of 叮噹 and Lok did request him to put his 叮噹 voice onto his “March-in slideshow 成長片斷”.  It was very funny indeed, every guests were laughing.

Our crew started very early in the morning around 7:30am at Tuen Mun and Alice was the makeup artist for the bride Carmen therefore Alice & I must arrive at 6:30am.  hehe then I went out for my early breakfast.  I love taking pictures at the 屋村 area, it gives me inspiration….maybe it is wide open and get much more natural ambient lighting.

Very funny…look at the groom’s facial expression……so funny

Wedding @ X’mas Eve

A very special X’mas eve @ year 2010… a big day for all of us and especially for this couple as their wedding was held on this special day of the year.  We have started the day in the afternoon in “W” hotel and we went out to the city (TST) for some location shots but it was incredibly crowded because lots of people gathered for the fireworks at night and also for the count down too.  It was fun and we have to work all the way from the star ferry peer to The One….what an experience…..

Nobody nobody but you

Haha this topic suits well because the bride comes from Korea a very beautiful bride with great smile and the groom comes from Sydney.

Vanessa & Justin’s wedding was held in a western way without any Chinese traditional activities that makes simple and more enjoyable to the couples and no rush for everyone.  We started in the afternoon and we originally planned for some outdoor portraits but unfortunately the weather was bad with a bit of heavy rain sometimes therefore we’ve changed our plan and we took some portraits within the hotel and we’ve managed to locate a beautiful spot that we may spend an hour for some portraits with the couples, family and friends.

In the evening, there was a ceremony and followed by some speeches with family and friends a very touching moments.  Although some speeches was carried out in Korean, we can feel the joy & love from their facial expression especially to her parents and there was great speeches from groom’s father too.  Everyone was having fun at their buffet dinner and the climates was reached when every guests dancing with the couple.

Beauty Elegantly

I did actually picture her at her wedding ceremony with classic elegant look on my mind when I first met her at my office and she looked even more beautiful at her wedding day.  When she put on her wedding gown she reminded me a beautiful movie actress name “Danielle”.  Their wedding ceremony was held in the afternoon before the buffet lunch.  Jerry is more quiet but gentle and he sang a song and played the piano for a special performance dedicated to Amber.  So sweet indeed….

Dolby & Wah Wedding

It has been a long time since I posted my last blog for wedding day!  This time I went with my wife Alice who was my lighting assistant instead of makeup artist.  Actually I think she sure doing better job as a makeup artist than a lighting assistant because my gears are too heavy for her…hehe…..

This shot was taken at groom’s home after tea ceremony…with lots of gold…hehe

A sweet kiss to bride’s daddy & Mommy……happy to see these scenes at the wedding….

I love this shot as the bride didn’t pay any attention to me at all….hehe I’m invisibleAfter a series of family shots, we spent some time for the outdoor shots near the registration center
